Zovo Sankey

Sankey diagrams from your flows, with balance checks.

Zovo Sankey turns a list of flows into a Sankey diagram. Paste lines like Salary,Budget,4000 or give a list of from, to and amount, and it lays out up to 200 flows between 100 nodes with the d3-sankey layout. Each link is drawn with a width in proportion to its amount, and each node is as tall as the larger of its inflow and outflow; the tool checks both on the drawn geometry and reports the result. Amounts are read as decimal text without rounding, and amounts like 1,234 that could be read two ways are refused until you name the decimal mark. A check tool lists cycles, flows from a node to itself, zero or negative amounts, and nodes whose inflow and outflow differ. Download a vector SVG, a vector PDF and a CSV of node totals.

What it does

• Flows pasted as text (comma, tab or semicolon) or as a list, up to 200 flows and 100 nodes
• Decimal amounts read without rounding; ambiguous amounts such as 1,234 are refused with the row named
• Link widths in proportion to amounts and node heights equal to the larger of inflow and outflow, checked on the drawn diagram
• Balance table for middle nodes and totals per column
• Cycles and self-loops named with the path or row
• Labels placed without overlap; shortened or hidden labels are listed by name
• Vector SVG, vector PDF (auto size, Letter or A4) and CSV of node totals

Limitations

• Up to 200 flows, 100 nodes and 60 characters per node name
• Flows must not form a loop (A to B to A); the tool names the loop instead of drawing it
• Amounts must be above 0, with up to 6 decimals and 15 digits
• The PDF font covers Latin, Greek, Cyrillic and Vietnamese; Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hebrew and emoji show as ? in the PDF (the SVG keeps them)
• Diagrams are not saved; download the files to keep them
